Remember your success

How many times have you beat yourself up because you aren’t where you want to be in life? How many times have you tried something, and it didn’t work? How many times have you tried something, and it was a tremendous success and you just stop doing it? All of these questions are ones we all can regrettably understand because we’ve all been there.

I know that’s a lot that I just threw at you, but these are some serious questions. For me, I have always been successful in some degree, meaning most of the time I achieved goals that I set for myself. And that’s not a pat on the back for me, it is me laying the foundation for my failure. Because even though I had a lot of success, I still find myself dealing with issues that I’ve previously handled in my previous years. And it’s only because I fail to remember my previous success in business ventures, relationships, and others that I beat up on myself for not being further than where I am right now.

Often times, we do one of three things with success:  Beat ourselves up for being a failure, become successful to only stop doing what got us there, or continue to be successful while learning from failures.

So I had to get out of my own head in regards to my failures. Failures is just another way of saying there is a better of way accomplishing your goals. Choosing to harp on your failures forces you to not remember your success. Remembering your success allows you to build confidence while going through failures.

Also, remembering your success will keep you grounded and focused on your main objectives. How many times have you stopped something that was successful? I can imagine a lot of us has done this. The reasons are vast. However, if you learn to remember your success, how you became successful, and why you were successful, you can get back on the success train.

Takeaways:

Remembering your success will keep you grounded and focused on your main objectives. How many times have you stopped something that was successful?
