What is success?

Success is whatever you make it. For me, success is about setting a goal and achieving it. Yes, I know it sounds simple, but you’ll be surprised that many people are living horrible lives because they feel like they aren’t successful. But, yet they haven’t either set a goal or put things in place to achieve them.

But how can you be successful without having any goals and plans to get there. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. This is simple and straightforward.

So, when developing your success goal, you have to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Because when you are setting you goals, you don’t want to set them so high that you’ll never achieve them. Or set them so low, that you are (1) not motivated to achieve them; and (2) they provide no heavy effort of change on your part.

Success is something that you might not be able to determine or measure, but we all know it when we see it. Whether it is the big homes, spending time with your family or vacationing in exotic places. Success is something you want to be a part of. But are you willing to do the work? Are you willing to break the bad habits? Or you will to give up your old life, to get your knew one (Lisa Nichols)?

Now, success is also about planning as well. Yes, you can set strategic goals, but if you do not put certain parameters in place to ensure your success, you are doomed to fail. If you are on a diet, through away all the unhealthy food or give it away to the homeless. If you are wanting to save money, don’t watch infomercials. I know these sound like very simple tactics, but when it comes to achieving your dreams to become successful, every little bit counts.

KEY TAKE AWAYS:

Success is something that is personal to you. You define it and strive for it. But no matter how you define it, it is going to cost you something to get it:  Your old life.
